As the CEO of Titanvolt, I am thrilled to embark on this new journey, drawing upon the invaluable experiences and insights gained from running Vision Illumination for the past 15 years.

Vision Illumination has always been a company that dared to be different, challenging norms and championing sustainability long before it became mainstream.

Back in 2012, we filed patents around circular technology, envisioning a future where products could be easily disassembled, repaired, and upgraded as technology advanced. This concept, aimed at reducing waste and promoting longevity, was ahead of its time. It was not until October 2021 and the introduction of TM66 guidance that the rest of the industry began to catch up.

This early embrace of circularity is just one example of how Vision Illumination has consistently disrupted the status quo. We've always prioritised conservation, advocating for responsible lighting practices to protect the night sky and minimise environmental impact. We have gone against the grain, challenging the prevailing notion of planned obsolescence and championing products built to last.

Leading Vision Illumination has been an incredible journey of growth, challenges, and ultimately, profound learning. Today, I want to share some of the key lessons that have shaped my leadership approach and will undoubtedly guide Titanvolt's path to success.

As the business world is constantly changing, adaptability is key to survival. At Vision Illumination, we embraced change, remaining agile and responsive to new market trends and technological advancements. This allowed us to stay ahead of the curve and seize new opportunities. At Titanvolt, we will continue to embrace change, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Rejecting Planned Obsolescence and the search for the perfect battery

The concept of planned obsolescence, where products are designed to have a limited lifespan, forcing consumers to repurchase, has plagued many industries, but started with lighting. At Vision Illumination, we firmly rejected this approach, prioritising quality and longevity in our products. We believed in providing customers with solutions that would stand the test of time.

This commitment to quality extended to our search for a battery to integrate into our new off-grid lighting solutions. We needed a battery that could match our high standards for durability and performance. Our search led us to Grinergy. After extensive collaboration and testing, we found their battery technology to be the perfect fit. It not only complemented our product but also aligned seamlessly with our mission statement, emphasising sustainability and long-term value.

Expanding beyond lighting

We quickly realised that the potential of Grinergy's battery technology extended far beyond just lighting. We saw opportunities to revolutionise various industries with their exceptional performance and sustainability benefits. Eager to explore these avenues and bring this groundbreaking technology to the UK and Europe, Snapfast, our trusted UK distributor for both Vision Illumination and now Grinergy, secured an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This MoU paved the way for a shared vision to see Grinergy seamlessly integrated into the UK market. And thus, Titanvolt was born - the culmination of this joint venture, representing our collective ambition to power a more sustainable and efficient future across diverse industries.

This philosophy is echoed in Titanvolt's LTO technology, which is engineered for exceptional durability and a long lifespan, reducing waste and promoting a more sustainable future.

Looking ahead

As I now embark on this exciting new chapter with Titanvolt, I am confident that the lessons learned from Vision Illumination will serve us well. We are building upon a strong foundation, with a great team driven by a passion for innovation, a commitment to our customers, and a deep respect for our planet. Together, we will endeavour to create a company that not only achieves remarkable success but also makes a positive impact on the world.

Thank you for joining us on this journey
