TITANVOLT POWERS NEW OFF-GRID LIGHTING SYSTEM

Titanvolt’s battery technology is helping keep residents safe at a new retirement community in Clitheroe.

Our innovative lithium titanium oxide (LTO) cells are being used in new off-grid lighting after the original solar system failed to perform – particularly in low-sun winter months.

It’s the latest example of collaboration between Titanvolt and Vision Illumination, who were brought in by the developers to diagnose the lighting issues and deliver a reliable, long-term solution.

At the heart of Vision Illumination’s system is the Titanvolt battery, which charges six-times faster than traditional LFP or lead acid batteries, offers full depth of discharge and can operate at temperatures to -35C.

The result is efficient and year-round illumination that provides the required levels of safe lighting for local residents without a mains connection.
